Using SCRUM to transform web projects and control chaos
Time: 13.00-16.00 Tuesday, 8. Nov 2011
The idea of having a project "under control" is a contradiction and scrum is one of the answers when it comes to daily navigation in chaos. It feels a lot better as project manager - sorry, as a scrum master - to manage a project with the starting point that any project is chaos and the next unforeseen event will happen in less than a day. At the workshop you will meet two experienced scrum masters. They have worked with the dreaded waterfall model and will never look back.

Biography
Martin was one of the first innovators in content management systems and software in the 1990s. His work resulted in patent approval for a novel method to install and encrypt a content management system (CMS) using a network of servers and rapid distribution.
Based upon his innovations, Martin co-founded Synkron in 1997 . It was the first company in the world to recognize the need for a modular CMS and shipped its first products in 1998. The CMS also featured high security against piracy and was never hacked.
Ten years later, the company was sold successfully to its competitor. Synkron had subsidiaries in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Norway and partners in France, England and Indonesia. Customers included Bang & Olufsen, International Red Cross, Saint-Gobain, and the Danish government. Martin served as Synkron’s CEO from 1997-2000 and the CTO from 2000-2008.
Martin is now CEO at the digital agency Klean. He studied Information and Media Science at Aarhus University.
